Jane Vezina scored thrice, including a game-tying third period goal, to help St. Olaf tie Saint Bens, 3-3, in a MIAC women's hockey game on Saturday night at Northfield Ice Arena.
The Oles (2-3-2, 1-2-1 MIAC) took a 2-0 lead on a pair of Vezina first period goals. She scored at 3:08 and 6:54.
The Blazers countered with three unanswered tallies in the second period to take a 3-2 lead. Mariah Reed, Shelby Schneider and Maria Wallace scored for CSB (0-5-1, 0-3-1 MIAC). Wallace's goal came with just three seconds left in the period.
Vezina's game-tying, power-play goal came at 6:49 of the third period on assists from Xandi Swedberg and Kalli McCullen.
Sam Klemann made 25 saves for St. Olaf, while Julia Carle had 42 saves for the Blazers.
