Ella Skrien scored 13 points for the Oles, but St. Olaf (2-5) lost 81-55 to the University of Wisconsin-Stout (3-2) in a non-conference game on Tuesday.
The Oles led the Blue Devils at the end of the first period 19-15, and at one time led by as many as eight points. However, from the start of the second period onward UW-Stout outscored St. Olaf 67-36.
The Blue Devils were led by Kyncaide Diedrich and Bailey Diersen, with Diedrich scoring 22 points and Diersen scoring 20.
Skrien's 13 points led the Oles. She led the team in assists (4) and steals (5) as well.
St. Olaf was 5-13 in free throw opportunities. The Oles shot better from the field (41.1%) than from the free throw line (38.5%).
Next up for the Oles is the first conference game of the season at Gustavus on Saturday.
