NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Tamira McLemore had 17 points to lead Augsburg College past St. Olaf in a MIAC women's basketball game in the season finale.
Betsey Daly had 14 points and a game-best eight rebounds in her final game as an Ole, as the team's lone senior. Daly, the school's all-time leading rebounder, went 4-for-6 from the field, 4-for-4 from the line and finished with five assists and four steals. She finished her career with 981 career points and 748 career rebounds. Her eight rebounds today gave her 248 rebounds this season, which is also a school record.
Makenna Ash added 12 points and six rebounds in the loss for St. Olaf (8-17, 4-14 MIAC).
Arianna Jones had 12 and Abby Jordan chipped in 11 points for the Auggies (15-10, 8-10 MIAC), who made the MIAC Playoffs with the victory and Saint Mary's loss. Augsburg went 10-for-33 from the three-point range.
The Auggies led by 21 early in the third quarter before the Oles used a 22-3 run to cut the lead to 50-48. The Auggies countered with the game's next 18 points and forced 13 St. Olaf turnovers in the fourth quarter to secure the win.
