Oles prevail in OT over Royals

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - The St. Olaf women's hockey team defeated Bethel in overtime 4-3 on Saturday afternoon at the Northfield Ice Arena. 

Jane Vezina scored the game winning goal in overtime for the Oles (7-12-1, 6-7-1 MIAC). She had a two point night along with Xandi Swedberg who scored St. Olaf's third goal of the night and assisted Vezina's for the win along with Megan Skelly. 

Wendy Roberts scored the tying goal and had an assist on the night for Bethel (7-10-4, 4-6-4 MIAC). 

Goalkeeper Cassie Alexander is credited the win with 20 saves on the night. 

St. Olaf will host UW-Superior for a non-conference matchup on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
