NORTHFIELD, Minn. - The St. Olaf baseball team was swept by the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse 16-2 and 6-4 on Tuesday afternoon at Mark Almli Field.
Game 1: UW-La Crosse 16, St. Olaf 2
UW-La Crosse had 21 hits to St. Olaf's seven.
Ryan Torbenson and
Ryan Iverson each went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a double apiece for the Oles' two runs.
Thomas Peterson gets the loss after allowing five earned runs, striking out two and walking two.
Game 2: UW-La Crosse 6, St. Olaf 4
Sam Stuckmayer had three hits in four at bats with a two-run homer in the fourth to bring the Oles within three of La Crosse who scored six runs by the third inning.
Alex Brown was 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI to lead the Eagles.
St. Olaf's next game is tomorrow at Carleton for a doubleheader starting at 2:30 p.m.
