NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Meredith Arpey scored on a corner kick in double overtime to lift Luther College to a 3-2 win over St. Olaf in a non-conference women's soccer game on Wednesday.
The Oles briefly took a 2-1 lead in the second period on
Mackenzie Schoustra's second goal, but Luther's Ellie Shmid answered three minutes later, scoring her second goal of the game to tie it at 2-2. Regulation ended without another goal, and continued into a second overtime until Arpey's corner kick gave Luther College the victory.
Annie Reichhoff had an assist on the first of Schoustra's goals, and goaltender
Brynne Davis had three saves. Schoustra's pair of goals brought her total to four on the season.
For Luther, Arpey had an assist on Shmid's game tying goal in the second period.
