St. Olaf hosts Quadrangular meet

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - The St. Olaf women's track and field team hosted a meet in Tostrud Center on Friday night with Bethel, Gustavus, and St. Thomas in attendance.

Mackenzie Schoustra won the 60 meter hurdles after qualifying with a season best of 9.41.  She won again in the finals in 9.51.  Lori Erlandson just missed qualifying for finals by one place.  Lillie Meakim took top honors in the 60 meter dash, running 8.35 and 8.25 in prelims and finals respectively.

Lauren Markowski and Holly Gordon were first and second in the 5000 meter race, running times of 19:25.16 and 19:30.14.  Also in the distance events, Katie Spray finished fourth in the mile (5:29.31), and Byony Hawgood and Mary Naas were second (10:45.54) and fourth (10:49.53) in the 3000 meters.

In the field events, Katherine LeClaire was fourth in the weight throw with a toss of 10.75 meters, and third in the shot put with a 9.04 meter throw.  Jessica Bentley won the shot with a winning throw of 11.90 meters.

Haily Marquette and Emily Bohlig finished first and second in the long jump with flights of 4.79 and 4.73 meters respectively.  Bohlig was third in the high jump as well, clearing 1.48 meters.

St. Olaf collected 151 points, only finishing five behind the winners from St. Thomas with 156,

The Oles will compete next at the Carleton Meet of Hearts next Saturday.
