NORTHFIELD, Minn. - The St. Olaf College men's track and field team placed third at the Carleton Triangular at the Recreation Center on Friday evening.
St. Olaf's
Zach Herman (2:01.63) picked up a second-place finish in the 800-meter run and Elliot Cassidy (2:07.71) followed in fourth, along with Jens Lange (2:11.90) in fifth. Another second-place finish came from
Stephen Peper (12.70m) in the triple jump, and
Benjamin Scott (8.40) added a second-place Ole finish in the 55-meter hurdles, along with
Duncan Forbes (6.92) in second in the 55-meter dash.
Scott and Forbes also posted third-places finishes, including Scott in the 400-meter dash, recording a time of 52.17, and Forbes in the 200-meter dash, posting a time of 24.31. In the long jump, Peper (6.35 m) placed third and
Derrick Lincoln (5.49m) finished fourth.Â
Thomas Lerdall (8:44.11) collected a third-place finish in the 3000-meter run,
Justin Furcich (8:45.26) followed in fourth and
Elliot Kadrofske (8:47.48) placed fifth.
Jack Henschel slotted a third-place finish in the 1000-meter run with a time of 2:38.43, and a St. Olaf 4x400 relay placed third, posting a time of 3:48.86.
The Oles picked up a fourth-place finish in the mile run as
Lukas Lindgren posted a time of 4:40.27 and
Liam Getzloff (4:40.71) finished in fifth.
Nathan Kurtz-Enko also collected a fourth-place finish in the shot put, with a distance of 14.38m.
St. Olaf tallied a team score of 77.0, while Carleton finished first with a team score of 125.0 and Hamline in second with 98.0.
The Oles are back to action Friday, Jan. 25 as they host the Bethel-Gustavus-St. Thomas-St. Olaf Quadrangular in Tostrud Fieldhouse.
