NORTHFIELD, Minn. – Luther College scored in the first half and held the St. Olaf College women's soccer team off for the remainder of the contest to defeat the Oles, 1-0, in a non-conference game on Wednesday afternoon at Rolf Mellby Field.
Luther's (6-7-2) Elizabeth De Prenger shot from 35 yards out and found the high right top of the goal to score the lone goal of the game and lift the Norse past St. Olaf (7-6-2).

Tessa Anderson, but the Norse kept the Oles from scoring after a save by goalkeeper Kennedy Bergren and a wide shot by Anderson.

Rachel Tanner posted shots in the 24th and 25th minute, but a wide shot and a Luther save kept the score at 0-0.
In the 34th minute, Luther's Kaylee Waterhouse found De Prenger as the senior broke the deadlock and put the Norse up, 1-0, from 35 yards out.
St. Olaf saw early chances in the second half, recording three shots, including two on goal in the first 10 minutes of the half.

Mackenzie Schoustra registered a shot on goal, but Bergen posted the save to keep the Oles from evening the score.
St. Olaf out-shot the Norse, 10-5, in the second half, but Luther had five saves in the half to help secure the victory.
The Oles are back in action and celebrate Senior Day on Saturday, Oct. 26 as they host Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) opponent Bethel at 3:30 p.m.
