NORTHFIELD, Minn. – Senior
Emily Carr drove in seven runs to lead the St. Olaf College softball team to a sweep of Concordia College (Minn.), as the Oles swept the Cobbers by scores of 7-3 and 10-1 (5 inn.) on Friday afternoon at Mabel Shirley Field.
Carr was a combined 4-for-6 with two doubles, two runs and seven RBI for St. Olaf (21-11, 11-5 MIAC), which surpassed the 20-win total for the third-straight season under head coach

Carly Dammann held Concordia (8-20, 1-13 MIAC) to two runs on their way to the sweep, with Dammann earning her first collegiate win in the nightcap.

Carr matched a career high with four RBI and
Tarah DeCroock and
Hannah Matthies both homered in the opener. Graf recorded her 13th victory of the season by allowing one run on two hits with 13 strikeouts in five innings of work, before
Sydney Robson finished off the final two frames.
DeCroock and
Ally Bode started the game with back-to-back singles but remained in scoring position with two outs for Carr, who singled them both in with a two-run knock to left. The Cobbers got one of the runs back in the third on a RBI double by Kate Wensloff.
The Oles pulled away in the middle innings, scoring three in the third and two in the fourth to take a 7-1 lead. Carr doubled in two more runs as part of the three-run third before DeCroock and Matthies hit solo home runs in the fourth. DeCroock's home run was the first of her career, while Matthies' was her second of the season.
Concordia got a couple runs back in the top of the seventh on RBI doubles by Maria Pake and Taylor Erholtz, but it was not enough. Gavin took the loss after allowing seven runs (six earned) over four innings with six strikeouts and a pair of walks.

In her second-career start, Dammann held the Cobbers to one run on seven hits with no walks and five strikeouts to pick up her first collegiate victory. The Oles broke a 1-1 tie with six runs in the third inning and went on to the run-rule win.
Carr finished 2-for-3 with a double, two runs and three RBI,
Andrea Conway went 1-for-3 with two runs and two RBI and Bode was 3-for-3 with a run and an RBI to lead the way offensively.
The Oles jumped on Concordia starter Kelly Riordan in the first, as DeCroock walked, stole second and scored on a single to left by Bode. The Cobbers tied it up in the third when Caitlin Culleton followed a Pake double with a single up the middle to score Pake.
St. Olaf responded with six runs on five hits and two Concordia errors in the bottom of the third. With the bases loaded and nobody out, Conway laced a double to the right-field corner to bring in two. Carr followed with an RBI bloop single to right and, later in the inning,
Alison Curry added a two-out, two-run single.
The Oles tacked on three more runs in the home half of the fourth to help close out the game in five. With runners on first and second and one out, Carr drove a two-run double to left and Grismer followed with a run-scoring double of her own to give St. Olaf a nine-run cushion.
Dammann took care of the rest, tallying two strikeouts in each of the last two frames while leaving the bases loaded in the fifth to finish off the complete game.
St. Olaf hosts Macalester College on Senior Day on Saturday, Apr. 20. The Oles will celebrate their six senior student-athletes and student coaches prior to the 1 p.m. first pitch.
