NORTHFIELD, Minn. – Visiting Hamline University scored three times in each of the final two periods to hand the St. Olaf College women's hockey team its first Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) setback of the season by a 6-1 score on Saturday afternoon at St. Olaf Ice Arena.

Zephryn Jager gave St. Olaf (5-2-1, 3-1-0 MIAC) a 1-0 lead at the first intermission with the lone goal of the opening period, but Hamline (4-3-0, 3-1-0 MIAC) scored twice in the first 1:06 of the second period and went on to run away with the win over the final two periods. The loss snapped the Oles' unbeaten streak at five games (4-0-1).

Annika Patterson. The goal was Jager's second of the season and Terebayza collected her first collegiate assist on the goal.
Hamline came out of the first intermission by scoring twice in the span of 24 seconds of the second period, getting a tying goal from Nikki Olund at the 42-second mark and the eventual game-winning goal from Emme Nelson at the 1:06 mark. The Pipers got goals from six different skaters in the win.
St. Olaf owned a 39-30 advantage in shots on goal in the game, but Olivia Rinzel made 38 saves, including 19 in the second period alone, for Hamline. First year
Hannah Fritz had 13 of her 24 saves in the opening period for the Oles.
The game was St. Olaf's Colorectal Cancer Awareness Game, which included ceremonial puck drops by athletic director Ryan Bowles and Pete Ballard.
Next up for St. Olaf is a non-conference home game against nationally-ranked UW-River Falls on Tuesday, Nov. 22 at 7 p.m.
