ARDEN HILLS, Minn. – The fifth-seeded St. Olaf College women's tennis team saw its season come to an with a 5-0 loss to fourth-seeded Bethel University in the quarterfinals of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Playoffs on Tuesday afternoon at Ona Orth Athletic Complex.
In a matchup of regionally-ranked teams, Bethel (11-10) swept the three doubles matches – including a pair of close 8-6 victories – and picked up wins at No. 1 and No. 4 singles to end the match with the team result decided. St. Olaf (8-6) was appearing in the MIAC Playoffs for the 13th time in the 15 seasons of the tournament.
