NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The No. 23-ranked St. Olaf College women's cross country team accounted for the top-12 individual finishers to record a first-place finish at the Cannon River Closer on Thursday evening at its home course.
St. Olaf posted a perfect team score of 15 points in the three-team standings to finish ahead of Bethel University (61) and Macalester College (64). The meet was the final race of the season for the teams' runners who will not be competing at the NCAA Division III North Region Championships.
Junior
Jules Fromm was the first runner to complete the five-kilometer race, doing so in 19:44.20 to finish just over seven seconds ahead of sophomore
Isabel Wyatt, who was the runner-up in 19:51.4. First year
Siri Erickson was less than a second behind Wyatt in third in 19:51.10, while classmate
Molly DiNardo was fourth in 20:00.90.
Sophomore
Molly Kate McCloskey rounded out the Oles' five scorers in fifth in 20:01.30, while junior
Gracia Larsen-Schmidt, junior
Cate Gleason, first year
Nora Mickelson, sophomore
Ava Shirley, and junior
Ava Craven accounted for the rest of the top 10. St. Olaf had 14 of the top-15 finishers overall.
St. Olaf will head to Whitetail Golf Course in Colfax, Wis. for the NCAA Division III North Region Championships on Saturday, Nov. 11 at 12 p.m.
