RIVER FALLS, Wis. – Third-ranked UW-River Falls blanked the St. Olaf College women's hockey team by a 6-0 score on Tuesday night at Hunt Arena.
UW-River Falls (8-0-0) scored once in the first, three times in the second, and two times in the third period to blank St. Olaf (4-5-0). Maddie McCollins led the way for the Falcons, who were ranked No. 3 by USCHO.com this week, with two goals and one assist, while Megan Goodreau and Brooke Lemke had a goal and two assists apiece.
Goodreau's power-play goal at 2:42 of the first period was the lone goal of the opening 20 minutes, but UW-River Falls broke the game open in the second with three goals in less than two minutes near the midway point of the period. The hosts added two goals in the first 1:19 of the third and outshot the Oles by a 42-17 margin in the game.

Devon Cole had 22 saves over the first 29:22 for St. Olaf before being replaced by sophomore
Hannah Fritz, who stopped 14-of-16 shots over the final 30:38. Jordan O'Connor saved all 17 shots the Oles' generated to claim the shutout.
St. Olaf returns to Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) play against Augsburg University on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 1-2. Puck drop for the opener is set for 7 p.m. at Ed Saugestad Rink.
