NORTHFIELD, Minn. – Top-ranked UW-River Falls broke open a 2-0 game after one period with a four-goal flurry early in the second period to defeat the St. Olaf College women's hockey team by an 11-2 margin on Tuesday night at St. Olaf Ice Arena.
UW-River Falls (6-0-2) scored twice in the final five minutes of the first period before netting four goals in the first six-plus minutes of the second to grab a 6-0 lead. Junior

Bella LaMere tallied goals in the loss for St. Olaf (2-6-1), which was playing its fifth game against a nationally-ranked opponent in nine games this season.
Goals from Megan Goodreau and Katherine Bell late in the opening period gave the reigning national champions a 2-0 lead after 20 minutes after the Oles kept the Falcons at bay for most of the period. Bell scored two of UW-River Falls' four goals in the first 6:13 of the second to complete her hat trick before Terebayza got St. Olaf on the boat at 8:06 of the second with her second goal of the season off assists from senior

Leading 6-1 after two, the Falcons registered a power-play goal early in the second before LaMere scored from Lankas and first year
Nora McConnell at the 4:20 mark of the third. The goal was LaMere's second of the season, while Lankas secured her second multi-point game of the season with another assist. UW-River Falls tacked on four goals the rest of the way to cap an 11-goal performance.
The Falcons held a 54-8 advantage in shots on goal in the game, as all three St. Olaf goaltenders to dress saw time between the pipes. Junior

St. Olaf will face another nationally-ranked opponent when it heads to Boston, Mass. to face fourth-ranked Amherst College to open the Codfish Bowl on Saturday, Nov. 30 at 3 p.m. CT.
