NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The fourth-seeded St. Olaf College women's soccer team will host fifth-seeded Augsburg University in the quarterfinals of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Women's Soccer Playoffs on Monday afternoon.
St. Olaf (13-2-3, 7-2-2 MIAC) earned the right to host Augsburg (8-4-5, 4-2-5 MIAC) after placing fourth in the conference standings during a regular-season where the Oles matched the single-season program record with 13 wins. The Oles and Auggies will vie for a spot in the semifinals in a 2 p.m. kickoff at Rolf Mellby Field on Monday, Nov. 4.
All tickets for the 2024 MIAC Playoffs will be sold and purchased online via
HomeTown Ticketing. There will not be cash sales at any venue; however, spectators can purchase tickets using a mobile device, including while at the venue. Tickets are available for purchase immediately. General admission adult tickets are $12 (plus HTT service charge). Student (with ID) tickets are $3 (plus HTT service charge), and children ages five and under are admitted free. The St. Olaf Athletic Department will cover the costs of tickets for St. Olaf students who present their ID.

Monday's other quarterfinal will see sixth-seeded Gustavus Adolphus College visit third-seeded Saint Mary's University in a 3 p.m. kickoff in Winona. Top-seeded St. Catherine University and second-seeded Carleton College, which shared the MIAC regular-season title, await the winners of Monday's matchups in the semifinals on Thursday, Nov. 7.
St. Olaf is making its seventh appearance in the MIAC Playoffs since 2003 after previously appearing in 2004, 2012, 2013, 2017, 2018, and 2022. The Oles are 1-6 all-time in the tournament, with their lone win coming via a 2-1 home win over Saint Mary's in the quarterfinals in their last appearance in 2022. Monday's quarterfinal will be the fourth home playoff game for St. Olaf, which is 1-2 in the previous three.
Augsburg is in the MIAC Playoffs for the 14th time and the ninth time in the last 10 editions of the tournament. The Auggies, who advanced to the semifinals last year before falling to top-seeded Carleton, are 11-11 all-time in the field and won the tournament in 2014 and 2016.
The Oles and Auggies have met twice previously in the MIAC Playoffs, with Augsburg both of the prior meetings. In 2018, third-seeded Augsburg blanked sixth-seeded St. Olaf by a 3-0 score in the quarterfinals. In 2012, the third-seeded Auggies edged the second-seeded Oles by a 2-1 margin in the semifinals. St. Olaf won the regular-season meeting by a
3-0 score on Oct. 19 at Rolf Mellby Field and it 3-0-2 in the last five head-to-head matchups going back to 2019.
