NORTHFIELD, Minn. – Sophomore Savannah Carr and senior Zibby Hanifl of the St. Olaf College women's swimming and diving team both posted their second qualifying scores for regionals on the one-meter board at the Dodd Road Diving Invitational on Saturday at Carleton College's Thorpe Pool.
Carr and Hanifl both earned their second qualifying cuts on the one-meter board to punch their tickets to the NCAA Division III Region 1 Diving Championships. Carr recorded the top score of the day at 413.85, followed by Hanifl at 407.70, as the pair both exceeded the qualifying standard of 395 points.
Carr and Hanifl's qualifications gave St. Olaf five women's qualifiers for the diving regional, joining sophomores Erica Johnson and Emma Haines, as well as first year Alayna McCormick.
The Oles will turn their attention to the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Swimming & Diving Championship at the University of Minnesota's Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center from Wednesday through Saturday, Feb. 11-14.
