Angie McBeain is in her first season as an assistant coach for the St. Olaf softball program in 2021-22.
A former National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-American, McBeain came to St. Olaf after serving as the head coach of Mission Fastpitch Softball Club, where she previously served as a hitting/pitching instructor and assistant coach/pitching coach. She also has experience as a strength coach intern for Minnesota MASH Performance and as an assistant/pitching coach for the MN Sting 16U softball team.
McBeain was a 2017 Fastpitch News Second Team All-American and First Team All-Region honoree while attending Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. In her rookie season, McBeain hit .421 with 11 home runs, 18 doubles, 60 runs, and 62 RBI and went 20-2 with a 1.82 ERA in 29 appearances in the circle.
The former Prior Lake High School standout and 2016 Miss Minnesota Softball finalist went on to graduate from Winona State University in 2020 with a bachelor of science in exercise science with an emphasis in movement science. She also earned her master of education in sport and exercise science from the University of Minnesota in December 2021.
