Morgan Zabel is in her second year as an assistant women's basketball coach at St. Olaf College for the 2017-18 season.
Zabel graduated magma cum laude from Minnesota State University, Moorhead in 2014 with a double major in Finance and Business Management. She played four years of basketball for the Dragons where she served as team captain her senior year, was a two-time All-NSIC pick, as well as Academic All-Conference and a recipient of the NSIC Myles Brand All-Academic Distinction Award.
Zabel is a Northfield, Minn. native and graduated from Northfield High School in 2010 where she is the all-time leading scorer in school history (1,596), holds the NHS record for points in a season (583) and points in a game (38). She was nominated for Minnesota's Miss Basketball her senior season and ranks fourth all-time in Minnesota for free throws made (547) and fifth for free throws attempted (746).
Zabel currently lives in Minneapolis and works at Securian Financial Group in St. Paul. She also coaches for the MN Fury AAU organization.
