Peter Linskey Hiring Headshot

Peter Linskey

Peter Linskey is in his second season as an assistant coach for the St. Olaf women's basketball program in 2025-26 after joining the staff in September 2024.

As part of a coaching staff that inherited a team that won four games in 2023-24, Linskey helped guide St. Olaf to a 7-18 (.280) record in 2024-25 that included a 5-1 start that was the program's best start to a season since 2015-16. The Oles posted one of the top three-point shooting seasons in program history, making 153 three-pointers for the fifth-highest total in program annals, and recorded the second-highest free-throw percentage mark (.691) in program history. St. Olaf also recorded a top-10 defensive mark in program history by holding opponents to 63.0 points per game.

Sophomore Chloee Smith earned All-Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) honors as part of the 18-member All-Conference Team after ranking in the top 10 in the conference in 11 different categories. St. Olaf also had six Academic All-MIAC honorees and four College Sports Communicators Academic All-District selections in Linskey's first season.

Linskey joined head coach Megan Lueck's staff after spending the previous two seasons as the "B" team head coach and varsity assistant coach for the Rosemount High School girl's basketball program. During his time at Rosemount, the varsity program finished in second place in the conference in both seasons, won a section championship and appeared in the state tournament in 2023, and advanced to the section final in 2022.

Prior to his time at Rosemount, Linskey was an assistant coach for the girl's varsity program at Prior Lake High School, helping the program to back-to-back top-three rankings, including the program's highest-rated finish in 10 years. The program achieved the third-highest winning percentage in program history in 2021. Linskey started his coaching career as the co-head coach of the Roseville High School boy's and girl's ninth-grade teams.

Linskey graduated from Wartburg College in 2010 with a bachelor of arts in business administration. He lives in Eagan with his wife, Kara, and two sons, Hudson and Parker.
