Todd Petterson is in his sixth season as the head men's golf coach at St. Olaf in 2022-23 after being named to the position on Jan. 25, 2017.
In his six seasons at St. Olaf, Petterson has coached four Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) All-Conference honorees and one Honorable Mention All-MIAC honoree. His teams have also had four Academic All-MIAC honorees in each of the last five seasons dating back to 2018-19.
In 2018-19, Petterson led the Oles to their highest finish at the MIAC Championships since 2011 with a fifth-place showing. St. Olaf also won tournaments on three consecutive weekends during the 2018-19 season and had the individual medalist in all three events.
Prior to coming to St. Olaf, Petterson spent 25 years at head boys golf coach at Red Wing High School from 1987-2012. He coached one individual state champion and had a streak of 12-straight seasons with a team ranked in the top 10 in the state.
He was Minnesota Golf Coaches Association President for four years and was a member of the Minnesota State High School Golf Advisory Board for eight years.
