NORTHFIELD, Minn. -
Betsey Daly's layup with 1.6 seconds left lifted St. Olaf to a 66-65 MIAC women's basketball win over visiting Saint Mary's University on Wednesday night at Skoglund Center.
Daly and
Kari Keogh had a team-best 14 points each for the Oles (5-7, 2-3 MIAC), who led by as many as nine in the second half.
SMU (8-4, 2-3 MIAC) was paced by Shelby Auseth's 22 points, 12 of which came from the free-throw line. Saint Mary's University went 22-for-23 from the line in the loss.
Woo Bandel added a team-high seven rebounds in the win for the Oles. St. Olaf took advantage of their offensive rebounds, scoring 14 second chance points opposed to Saint Mary's four.
St. Olaf will be home again on Saturday afternoon to host Hamline University for a 1 p.m tip off.
