NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Augsburg jumped ahead to a 3-0 lead after the 27th minute, and held on to defeat St. Olaf by a score of 4-1 on Wednesday afternoon at Rolf Mellby Field.

Marta Anderson, Marie Fitzgerald and Nora Edelen each knocked a goal past Olaf keeper Ruth Hesse early in the match.  Madison Van Wylen answered with an unassisted goal in the 32nd minute bringing her season total to seven.  Fitzgerald struck again for the Auggies in the second half with a goal to give Augsburg the victory.

St. Olaf (3-10-4, 2-7-1 MIAC) was outshot by Augsburg (12-5-0, 7-3-0 MIAC) by a toatl of 13-8 but led with six corner kicks compared to the Auggies' four.  

The Oles will play next on Saturday when they travel to Saint Benedict to compete in their final regular season game of the 2015 season.
