COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. - Mitchell Kuck had 28 points and five assists to pace Saint John's University in a 72-68 MIAC men's basketball win over St. Olaf on Saturday afternoon at Sexton Arena. 

St. Olaf, down 70-68, had a chance to go ahead in the final seconds, but Justin Pahl's three-pointer rimmed out. The Johnnies' collected the rebound and hit two free throws with .4 seconds left to secure the win.

Riley Aeikens had 22 points and Ben Figini 17 for St. Olaf (2-3, 1-1 MIAC) in the loss. Austin Majeskie added nine points and nine rebounds for the Oles, who were 6-of-19 from long range. 

The Johnnies hit 10-of-17 from three, led by Kuck's 4-for-5 effort. Tyler Weiss added 13 points and Alex Schmitt had 11 and five assists. 

The Oles trailed by as many as 13 in the first half and by the same margin early in the second. St. Olaf then used a 15-4 run to cut the lead to two midway through the final 20 minutes. Aeikens banked in a three-pointer with 41 seconds left to get the Oles within a bucket.
