MINNEAPOLIS - The St. Olaf men's tennis team defeated Macalester College 6-3 on Friday night.

Macalester managed to win the No. 1 and No. 3 singles matches as well as the No. 2 doubles match.  Brian Utz won the No. 1 singles match by a score of 7-6 (7-4), 6-4. Aiden Tirpack won the No. 3 singles match by tiebreak (6-2, 2-6, 10-7).

St. Olaf's Joey Kronzer won the opening set of the No. 2 singles match by tiebreak, then  dropped the second set forcing a super tiebreaker to decide the match. (7-6 (7-4), 1-6, 11-9).
 

Nico Gibb, Matthew Christensen, and Mike Schroeder each won their singles matches in straight sets.
