OWATONNA, Minn. - The St. Olaf women's tennis team won its first MIAC matchup against St. Catherine University on Saturday afternoon.
The Oles (3-0, 1-0 MIAC) won five of the six singles matches to win the overall match by a score of 6-3. Â
Alisa Hall defeated Maria Koval (6-2, 6-0), to give the Oles a victory in first singles, and
Kristi Kroker followed suit in second singles by defeating Kylie Ketcho by a score of 6-2, 6-0 as well.
Bailey Kent scored two points for the Oles, winning her sixth singles match (6-2, 6-2) as well as winning third doubles with teammate
Erin McDonald with a score of 9-8, then 4-0 in the tiebreaker.
St. Catherine (4-1, 2-1 MIAC) came into the meet undefeated, and rated 18th in the region.
The Oles travel to Minneapolis to play Macalester College this Friday.
