Box Score Box ScoreROCHESTER, Minn.- The University of Dubuque topped the St. Olaf softball team by a score of 12-1 on Friday night after strong at-bats in the third and fourth innings for Dubuque.
The Spartans out-hit St. Olaf 13-3 over the five innings played, scoring 12 times.
St. Olaf were first to get on the scoreboard after
Brooke Paradise batted in
Alex Lopez with a grounded out hit towards the Dubuque shortstop.
Dubuque answered in the second inning with one run of there own, giving the game a score of 1-1. The score remained tied until Dubuque's third inning at bat, where they scored seven runs off of five hits. The Spartans scored four additional runs in their next at-bat, giving the game a final score of 12-1.
St. Olaf will play Luther College at 9:30 p.m. tonight in their second game of the evening.
