NORTHFIELD, Minn. - The St. Olaf women's tennis team lost a close fought match to Carleton by a score of 7-2, on Wednesday afternoon at St. Olaf College.

St. Olaf (8-3, 4-1 MIAC) was led by Alisa Hall and Erin Hynes who won the two matches for the Oles. Hall won 6-4, 7-6. Hynes won 6-7, 6-2, 10-6

The No. 1 and No. 3 doubles went back and forth each resulting in a 9-7 victory for Carleton (10-1, 6-0 MIAC).

Joyce Yu led the Knights with her 6-1, 6-3 win in the No. 3 singles match.

The match was a lot closer than the score suggests according to St. Olaf Coach Scott Nesbit, "Us coaches feel really good about it, our team is playing really well. We're pleased... good points, and hard fought matches."

St. Olaf will look to build on the loss as they head to St. Peter, Minn. to take on Gutavus in another MIAC match.
