CHICAGO - The University of Chicago upended the St. Olaf men's soccer team 2-1 with a Max Lopez goal in the second overtime on Sunday afternoon.
Aaron Stets gave St. Olaf a 1-0 lead in the 48th minute and the Oles held that lead into the final stages of regulation. The Maroons, however, got a goal from Parker Tikson with 1:06 left. Tikson assisted on the game-winning goal.
Chicago held a 20-10 advantage in shots. The Maroons had seven corners to the Oles' three.
St. Olaf (1-4-0) opens MIAC play on Wednesday at home against Bethel University at 4 p.m.
