St. Olaf falls in fifth set

ST. PAUL, MINN. - The St. Olaf volleyball team lost in the fifth set against Macalester College 3-2 on Saturday afternoon.

 

St. Olaf (8-10, 0-3 MIAC) won the first and third sets (25-15, 25-18), led by Megan Grimes who had a team high 17 kills. Lexie Read had a 0.310 hitting percentage for the Oles in the loss.

Abby Slack led the defense with 24 digs and Sophie Schwartz recorded four blocks.

 

Clara Baumann had 23 kills for Macalester (12-3, 1-2 MIAC).

 

St. Olaf will be back home at on Friday night at 7 p.m. to take on Concordia College.
