PhotosST. PETER, Minn. - For the second time in as many nights, the St. Olaf men's hockey team on Saturday night skated to a 3-3 tie and picked up a shootout victory over Gustavus Adolphus College.
Peter Lindblad had two goals and
Drew Otto's tally in the decisive fifth round of the shootout gave the Oles a four-point weekend.
David Rath scored the Oles' other goal, on assists from
Charlie Widmar and
Andy Jordahl at 8:25 of the first.Â
Gustavus scored twice in the third to take a 3-2 lead, but Lindblad's second goal titled the game with 5:31 left in the third period. Lindblad's first goal was a power-play score at 11:22 of the second.
Eric Hancock made 41 saves in net to get the tie for the Oles, who are idle next weekend.Â
