The Oles (8-5, 3-3 MIAC) mounted a 12-2 run to begin the fourth quarter to tie the game at 44-44, but SMU held the Oles to one field goal over the final 6:15 to get the victory. Michaela Meredith added 14 points for the Cardinals (12-1, 6-0).
St. Olaf took care of the basketball, with a mere 12 turnovers, but shot 24.2 percent from the floor and 11.1 percent from three-point range (3-for-27).
