NORTHFIELD, Minn. - The St. Olaf volleyball team came back from a 20-14 deficit in the third set to force a 23-23 tie, but fell behind late to lost to St. Thomas 3-0 (25-19, 25-20, 26-24).
Abby Slack had a game high 16 digs to lead all players, and
Megan Grimes led all player in kills with 12, including five in the final set. Â St. Olaf (9-14, 0-8 MIAC) had 13 blocks as a team, with
Sophie Schwartz and
Lauren Rewers each having a part in seven of the blocks. Â St. Thomas (18-7, 6-2 MIAC) notched six aces against the Oles, including three from Lauren Jagerson.
Both teams had hitting percentages below .1, with St. Thomas hitting .080 and St. Olaf hitting .069.
The Oles play next on Saturday afternoon (3 p.m.) at home against Hamline University.
