NORTHFIELD, Minn. - The Oles used all five sets to defeat St. Catherines University 3-2 (13-25, 25-15, 29-27, 14-25, 15-11) on Wednesday evening in Skoglund Center.

St. Olaf (10-15, 1-9 MIAC) was behind 24-21 in the third set before fighting back to force extra points, and eventually win 29-27 after an Abby Carpenter kill.  St. Catherine (13-16, 1-9 MIAC) led in hitting percentage with .163 while the Oles managed only .042.

Lauren Rewers led all players in kills with 23, while Carpenter was next for the Oles with seven of her own.  Sophie Schwartz was the statistical leader in both aces and blocks with five each.  Abby Slack had 25 digs for St. Olaf.

The Oles play their season finale at Carleton College on Friday night.
