Johnnies end Oles' playoff hopes with 3-0 win

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Saint John's University defeated St. Olaf 3-0 on Saturday at Rolf Mellby Field as the host Oles saw their season come to an end. 

Augsburg's win over St. Thomas on Saturday pushed the Auggies ahead of the Oles for the sixth and final spot in the upcoming MIAC Playoffs.

Sam Newman had a goal and an assist for the Johnnies, who finished the MIAC schedule 5-4-1 to advance to the postseason. 

St. Olaf finished the season 6-5-6 overall and 3-3-4 in MIAC play.
