ST. PAUL, Minn. - Josh Parks rushed for 141 yards and two touchdowns and Tucker Trettel 106 yards and a touchdown as fourth-ranked St. Thomas defeated St. Olaf 73-7 in a MIAC football game on Saturday at Palmer Field at O'Shaughnessy.
The Oles' score came on a diving catch by
Khayleb Willis on a throw from
Jack Goldstein early in the fourth quarter. Goldstein was 10-for-20 for 66 yards.
Coleman Foley led the St. Olaf defense with 12 total tackles while
Jacob Ossell had eight and an interception on the first drive of the game.
St. Olaf held UST (10-0, 8-0 MIAC) on its first possession on the Ossell interception, but the Tommies scored on each of their next eight drives. The UST defense held the Oles to one first down in the opening 30 minutes.
St. Olaf drove into UST territory on the opening drive in the second half, but a field goal attempt came up just short.
