NORTHFIELD, Minn. - The St. Olaf women's basketball team was defeated by Saint Ambrose University 72-56 in an exhibition game on Saturday night at Skoglund Athletic Center.

First year Michelle Lother led the Oles with 14 points, three assists and a steal. Betsey Daly had added 13 points, four steals and nine rebounds. 

St. Olaf was 15-for-50 from the floor and made 20-of-24 free throws. 

Saint Ambrose (1-0) was 27-for-50 from the floor and shot 33.3% from the three-point line. Reeann McCarty of Saint Ambrose had 14 points and seven rebounds. Hailey Cook followed with 12 points. 

St. Olaf will travel to Mankato next to take on Bethany Lutheran on Tuesday, Nov. 15 at 7 p.m.
