Becca Walz drove in each of St. Olaf's three runs on the night as the St. Olaf softball team split a double header against Saint Mary's University.
Game one: St. Olaf 1, St. Mary's 0Jenna Boudreau scored the only run of the game off of a sacrifice fly by Walz in the sixth inning.
Alex Lopez pitched seven shutout innings to keep the lead for St. Olaf. She struck out one and walked two in the process. St. Olaf tallied nine hits over seven innings with
Stephanie Borndale and Boudreau each having a multi-hit game.
Game two: St. Olaf 2, St. Mary's 4A sixth inning double from Walz gave St. Olaf its two runs as St. Mary's out-hit the Oles 11-5.
Walz and Lopez each had a multi-hit game, both tallying a double and a single.
Despite 11 hits, Saint Mary's left 11 players on base. St. Olaf left just two players stranded.
The Oles softball host another game on Saturday, as they face off against the College of Saint Benedict.
