NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Saint Mary's swept an MIAC baseball doubleheader from St. Olaf, 7-4 in the opener before a 7-5 win in game two.
Game One: SMU 7, St. Olaf 4The Cardinals used a six-run third inning and raced to a 7-0 lead and held off a late Ole rally for the win in game one. Joe Kieski hit a two-out, two-run homer in the seventh inning for the Oles' final two runs.
Sam Stuckmayer was 2-for-4 with his team-leading sixth homer for St. Olaf.
SMU had three doubles in the third inning.Â
Game Two: SMU 7, St. Olaf 5SMU's Willie Doll hit a three-run homer with one out in in the top of the ninth as SMU came-from-behind to beat St. Olaf 7-5.Â
Thomas Peterson was 3-for-4 while
Andy Reiter had a go-ahead two-run double for St. Olaf in the loss.Â
Nathan Mathwig worked three scoreless innings of relief to get the victory for SMU.Â
