NORTHFIELD, Minn.- The St. Olaf baseball team tallied seven hits and stranded 12 in a 15-2 game one loss of a doubleheader against Gustavus Adolphus College on Saturday afternoon, before the Gusties held on for a 9-8 win in game two.
Game One: Gustavus 15, St. Olaf 2
Gustavus used an eight-run third inning on the way to the lopsided win. The Gusties had 12 hits, including two homers in the second inning. 10 of Gustavus' 15 runs were unearned.
Both of the Oles' runs came in the second inning, when
Tim Maus drove in
Kap Davis on an RBI double before crossing the plate himself on a passed ball.
Nate Marshall pitched 3.2 innings, striking out three and allowing one earned run.
Game Two: Gustavus 9, St. Olaf 8
Joe Keiski drove in five runs in St. Olaf's second game of the afternoon in a 9-8 loss.
Keiski hit RBI singles in the first and third inning before tallying a three-run double in the sixth. Keiski went 3-for-4 in the game with a walk.
Gustavus scored eight of its nine runs in the third inning, which included seven hits from Gustavus and one error by the Oles.

Will Gustafson split pitching duties for St. Olaf, giving up only three earned runs and no walks over a the nine innings.
St. Olaf will head to St. Paul on Tuesday, April 26th, for a double header vs. Hamline University.
