WAVERLY, Iowa - Lauren Rewers led the Oles in kills with 13 as the St. Olaf volleyball team lost a match on Friday night against Buena Vista University by a score of 3-1 (21-25, 25-23, 25-17, 25-21).

The Oles came out strong in game one, winning by a score of 25-21, which included a 6-0 run to break a 15-15 tie and give the Oles 21-15 advantage.  Buena Vista University had a better hitting percentage that St. Olaf after hitting .206 for the match while the Oles hit .118.  Renata Erickson again led the Oles in assists, tallying 34 over the four games.  Abby Slack, Lexie Read, and Haley Langeslag led St. Olaf in digs with 18, 10, and nine respectively.

The Oles play two more matches this Saturday against tournament host Wartburg College and Luther College.
