NORTHFIELD, Minn. - The St. Olaf women's basketball team was defeated by No. 4 University of St. Thomas 61-51 on Wednesday night at Skoglund Center.
Makenna Ash led the Oles with 21 points and six rebounds. She fouled out with about three minutes left in the fourth quarter.
Margaret Andersen added eleven points and four steals in the loss.
St. Thomas (13-0, 6-0 MIAC) was led by Kaitlin Langer who put in 24 points and pulled down 12 rebounds for a double-double.
St. Olaf (5-8, 1-5 MIAC) shot 44 percent from the floor and 23.1 percent from three-point range going 3-for-13. The Tommies outscored the Oles by just three points in last two quarters and shot 41.9 percent from the floor.
The Oles will travel to Augsburg on Saturday for a 1 p.m. MIAC matchup.
