Makenna Ash had 21 points and 11 rebounds to help the St. Olaf women's basketball team defeat Augsburg College 60-50 on Saturday afternoon at Si Melby Hall.
Betsey Daly also posted a double-double as she pulled down 15 rebounds and put in ten points. First year
Michelle Lother added ten points in the win as well.
Augsburg (8-7, 1-6 MIAC) finished the fourth quarter ahead 12-10, but St. Olaf (6-9, 2-6 MIAC) tightened up defensively and held the Auggies to a 25.7 percent field goal percentage and just 4-for-28 from three-point range.
After today, Daly and Ash are still in the top-three in the MIAC for rebounds per game and total rebounds. Daly is second in rebounds per game averaging 10.3, while Ash is third averaging 9.5 per game. Daly leads the MIAC in total rebounds with 154. Ash is third with 142 total.
The Ole's next matchup is Wednesday at Carleton College at 5:45 p.m.
