Balanced attack leads Carleton over Oles

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Five Knight players scored in double figures as the St. Olaf men's basketball team lost a MIAC matchup against Carleton college 75-61 on Wednesday evening at Carleton College.

Austin Majeskie led all scores with a game high 19 points on 7 for 8 shooting from the floor to lead the St. Olaf (7-8, 5-5 MIAC) offense. Majeskie got into foul trouble late with four fouls.  Nate Albers continued his strong play with 13 points.  Carleton shot an impressive 59.6 from the floor, including going 5-10 from the arc.  St. Olaf was not as efficient, shooing 42.6% and hitting six of 15 three-point shots.

Kevin Grow tallied a double-double for the Knights, dropping a team high 16 points, and grabbing a game high 14 boards.  The largest lead of the game came with 13:22 remaining in the second half when Carleton (7-8, 4-6 MIAC) took a 25 point lead after Mitchell Biewen made a breakaway layup after a Joh Farmer steal.  The Oles fought back to bring the lead back to just eight with six minutes remaining in the game, but couldn't surmount the lead in the waning minutes.

St. Olaf plays next at Bethel University next Wednesday night.
