Erica Power scored the eventual game winning goal for Gustavus (9-5-2, 5-2-2 MIAC) just 18 seconds into the game, beating goal keeper
Cassie Alexander. Emily Gustafson scored both of the next two goals in the second period.
Mae Moris took over goal for St. Olaf (4-11-0, 3-6-0 MIAC) in the third period, making six saves on the six shots she faced. St. Olaf was efficient on the penalty kill, stopping both of the Gusties two power play opportunities.
St. Olaf looks to rebound Saturday night in a rematch against Gustavus at the Gusties' home rink in St. Peter.
