Betsey Daly became St. Olaf's all-time career rebounder after she pulled down 13 boards in loss to Bethel University 67-44 on Wednesday night at Skoglund Center.
Daly had 13 points and 13 rebounds for the lone double-double of the night and to break the school record of career rebounds, which was previously held by Jennifer Ihde who played for the Oles between 1983-87 and had 676 career rebounds. Daly had 671 going into tonight's game and now holds the number one spot with 684.
Makenna Ash had 14 points and nine rebounds in the loss and
Ella Skrien added seven. St. Olaf (6-11, 2-8 MIAC) was down by ten at the half and then was outscored 22-12 in the third quarter.Â
Shanni Moorse of Bethel (13-4, 8-2 MIAC) led all scorers with 15 points and was 6-for-7 from the floor and 1-for-1 from three point range.
St. Olaf shot just 15.4 percent from the three point line and was plagued by miss free throws (6-of-14). The Royals shot 44.4 percent from the floor and went 10-of-14 from the free throw line.Â
The Oles will host Concordia College (Minn.) on Saturday afternoon for a 1 p.m. MIAC matchup.Â
