NORTHFIELD, Minn. -
Austin Korba had 13 points to lead St. Olaf, which survived a 19-0 second half Concordia run, in a 63-60 MIAC men's basketball win over the visiting Cobbers on Saturday afternoon at Skoglund Center.
Dylan Alderman, who had a game-high 14 points for Concordia (10-8, 7-6 MIAC), had a chance to tie at the buzzer but his three-pointer hit rattled around before falling away. Concordia trailed by 16 at the half before holding St. Olaf scoreless for the first eight-plus minutes of the second. St. Olaf managed an 8-0 run, punctuated by a
Robert Tobroxen three-pointer with 5:02 left to make it a 63-55 St. Olaf advantage.
Tobroxen added 12 points and
Austin Majeskie nine to go with 12 rebounds for the Oles (8-9, 6-6 MIAC).
Austin Heins added 11 points and nine rebounds for the Cobbers.
St. Olaf had only four field goals (4-26) in the second half after going 17-for-32 in the first half. Three of those second half field goals were three-pointers.
The Oles improved to 5-1 at Skoglund Center, where they will host Hamline University on Monday night.
