NORTHFIELD, Minn. - The Knight's Kohl Sparrman scored his first goal on the season in overtime to lift Carleton to a 1-0 victory over St. Olaf on Wednesday evening.

Nearly four minutes into overtime, Kamran Kelly headed the ball forward to Sparman. The Knight's forward never let it touch the ground as he headed in the game winner over Ben Westermeyer, who had nine saves on the day.

Both teams entered tonight with scoreless streaks that crossed through multiple matches. The goal by Sparrman ended a Knights scoreless streak of 375 minutes and 59 seconds, having gone over three matches without scoring before tonight. The Oles sit with an active scoreless streak of 349:01, with their last goal being a Kyle Leemon score 15:58 into their match against Hamline on September 30th. 

The Oles have now gone four years without beating their cross town rivals, with a 3-3 tie in 2015 being the closest they have come in that time frame.

The Oles will look to end their scoreless streak on Saturday when Concordia comes to town.
