STEVENS POINT, Wis. - The Ole women started the season off with a win as St. Olaf (1-0-0) shut out the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point (0-1-0) 1-0 on Friday night.

Mary Kate Eiden scored the first goal of the season for the Oles, which was all that was necessary to secure the win as Sam Klemann held the Pointers scoreless with 34 saves on the night.  Kalli McCullen assisted Eiden with her score.

This is the second year in a row that St. Olaf has opened the season with a win against Stevens Point.

Next up for the Ole women is another match against the Pointers tomorrow afternoon.
