Sawyer Jacobson's third period goal broke a 3-3 tie as St. Olaf skated to a 5-3 men's hockey win over UW-Stout on Friday night at Northfield Ice Arena.
Drew Otto added an empty-net goal with 41 seconds left to seal the win.Â
Roshen Jaswal had a goal and an assist for the Oles (3-2-0), who rallied from a 1-0 first period deficit.
Will Dittrich picked up a short-handed goal to tie the game early in the second period. Jaswal gave the Oles the lead on a power-play score at 4:16 of the second.Â
UW-Stout's Gavin Smith had a goal and an assist in the loss. Smith tied the game at 2-2 just over four minutes after Jaswal gave the Oles the lead.Â
Tuukaa Totro regained the advantage for the Oles, at 3-2 late in the second before Smith assisted on Jordan Stejska evened the game at 3-3 with 46 seconds left in the third.Â
Eric Hancock made 26 saves to pick up the win in net.Â
